PACT has taken shape!

Our volunteer program for high school students is finally taking shape. PACT (Positive Adventures Changing Teens) is a program that is beginning this year! With Change In Mind has always wanted to find a way to bring the “volunteer experience” home to the United States. We had a strong desire to develop a program that would give high school students the opportunity to learn through community service. The impact that volunteering can have on the people who serve and those who benefit from that service is powerful!

PACT began as a tiny seed and over the course of the last 6 months it has been planted and begun to sprout. Erin Hempen, the Founder of With Change In Mind is overwhelmed at how things have been coming together. PACT now has students in 2 communities in Clinton county who have registered to be a part of this years experience. This program is launching here in Clinton county and next year we hope to use what we learn and share our experiences so we can have groups form all over the country. There are big plans for PACT and we are committed to seeing great change happen for all who become involved.

A special thank you to Think Tank for their help with the branding and logo design for the program. They truly took our vision and passion and developed something we are so proud of. They offered all of their work for free through this years Createathon. With Change In Mind was so honored to be chosen as one of the nonprofits they wanted to help out. It is amazing how things happen at just the right time!

  1. I attended the Wesclin PACT meeting tonight and I was impressed with the students who attended. Each of them gave insightful suggestions for community projects and had made an attempt to contact the places where they could lend a hand. I was also moved by their generosity, compassion and excitement to make a difference! They made the meeting a lot of fun! Thank you, Wesclin PACT, for being positive people in our community!
