Meeting Rescheduled!
The informational meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday October 2nd 7pm at the Pinball Palace in Carlyle. It is located next to the IGA. Please let me know if you need directions 🙂 Hopefully this will work for everyone!!
Back at the village Monday night we had a speaker coming from the ministry of education to talk to the group. All of the volunteers told me about their day at the school and it seemed as if things had begun to “click”. Everyone felt more comfortable and things were moving along. Greg was excited…
We have made our way back from Zambia today. The 120 miles took only 7 hours this time and that included a stop for a little shopping and lunch and both boarder crossings. We are all VERY dirty and ready for CLEAN clothes!

Hard to believe…YES! We are all here safe and well tucked into our huts for night #1! The volunteers are shuffling around and getting teeth brushed and last bathroom stops in before bed. We all arrived and 25 suitcases arrived also! That alone stands to be a wonderful start to this first two week journey….

Tuesday morning Liz was scheduled to leave. She is heading to Ghana to visit the village she lived in when she was in the Peace Corps. She was sad to leave Malawi, but excited for her next adventure. We had breakfast with Jess and before long it was time for her to say her goodbyes…
