10 Things You Might Not Know (about WCIM)

#1- Our organization currently supports full time employment for 5 Malawians who work at a community based organization called Adziwa Orphan Community.

#2– With support from private donations our organization feeds a nutritious meal to 50 Malawian children who are all under 5 years old 5 days a week all year round.

#3– With Change In Mind volunteers have been working towards our goal of making Adziwa Orphan Community a self sustainable community based organization so they will eventually not be dependent on donor funds in order to keep their program running.

#4– With Change In Mind doesn’t pay any member of our USA staff, everyone that works for us works for free.

#5– For the first time ever With Change In Mind is offering a volunteer adventure specifically designed for families! We are looking for fathers, daughters, mothers, sons, grandparents and even aunties and uncles to travel with members of their family!!!

#6– With Change In Mind welcomes volunteers from all walks of life! We encourage volunteers of all ages, all religions and all professions. We know that everyone has something unique to offer to our trips and projects. Instead of our organization being exclusive we choose to be inclusive and include all who have the heart for service and adventure.

#7– We are offering naming rights to any company that wants to help us achieve the funding goal for our Community Learning Center that will be built in Malawi in 2015! What company do you know that might be interested in this opportunity??

#8– Our Board of Directors currently has members on 3 continents. Our newest member will be announced soon!! (some of you may already know her)

#9– With Change In Mind has one full time Malawian employee who works as a project manager. Her name is Tovia and she is currently pregnant with TWINS!!

#10-  Our founder Erin Hempen loves to speak to groups about volunteering locally and abroad, our program, and how she started With Change In Mind!  Do you know of a group that would enjoy hearing her speak? Get in touch with us using our contact form!
